IT Support/Helpdesk - Essex - 23-33K

PURPOSE

Our growing client in Essex is looking for an IT support/helpdesk candidate to join their Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for numerous activities which are outlined below. The key to the continued growth of this exciting business is the provision and maintenance of its infrastructure. Reporting to the VP Implementation, you will be responsible for first and second line support to internal users. Whilst this role is largely internal, Our client is about to develop significant hosted services which this role can influence or assist with depending upon progression and/or experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Respond to support calls
* Installing new software and hardware (printers, servers, work stations, switches routers)
* Setting up user accounts and access permissions.
* Fixing software and hardware faults, liaise with the vendors.
* Day to day admin and monitoring of the network.
* Work on cases remotely or onsite when required.
* Look after existing IT ensuring all staff laptops/computers all work correctly
* Responsibility for the back up
* Maintenance and management of company website and intranet


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

* Experience in a similar IT Support role.
* Establishing and troubleshooting network connectivity
* Data backup and recovery, email troubleshooting, spam control.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English.


DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
* Building, Installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008.
* Configuration set-up and security on Microsoft Windows PC's
* Routing, switching, firewalls
* Hardware troubleshooting
* Storage Devices
* Microsoft Terminal Server Environments.
