Our client is an environmental/asbestos consultancy, UKAS accredited, based in the North West. They are now seeking an Asbestos Analyst to work as part of their team. As an Asbestos Analyst, the role shall include airborne fibre monitoring and analysis in a range of industrial, commercial and residential properties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General

1. Carry out 4 stage clearances and other airtest backgrounds, leaks, personals and reassurances, in locations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

2. Understand the principles of the HSG 248 Analyst Guide.

3. Liaise and build a rapport with contractors.

4. Ensure that files / general paper work is filled in correctly and to a high quality - following UKAS procedures.

5. Develop a professional approach to site works - developed through training.

6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.

7. Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.

8. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

9. Work well under pressure and be flexible.

10. Send and receive E-mail in Microsoft Outlook - to be trained internally.

Candidates must hold the P403/P404 qualification
Ability to deal with contractors and members of the public politely and courteously.
Must have excellent time management skills. Must be flexible and able to work weekends and overtime on a rota basis.
Must have a full UK driving license.
Must be physically fit and able to load/unload and carry equipment as necessary.
Must have a passport.
Must be able to stay away from home.
