As the Solutions Architect/Functional Architect (Platforms) within the Life & Pensions Business Solutions team you will be required to shape and scope the end to end business solution for a client migration or new product launch. Providing quality business solutions through the chosen Product Platform. Industry Knowledge and Experience - Excellent knowledge of Life & Pensions Insurance and Financial Environments - Strong working knowledge of Insurance and Financial industry products, regulations, business processes, Business Tools and current legislations - Demonstrates industry knowledge articulately and appropriately - Keeps up to date with Industry changes and applies this knowledge in relation to specific Clients. - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of an organisation from CSR level to Director level, this includes preparing and delivering quality presentations to communicate key messages to stakeholders. - Ability to influence decision making processes within an organisation and build strong relationships with key stakeholders who may influence decision making. Client Focus - Supports Sales and Bids to facilitate winning quality new business through providing consultancy services to the bid teams - Help develop and shape the Product Platform Roadmap - Liaise with the IT Architecture team, client accounting, business architects & Capita Client representatives to define end to end business solution for the migration or product launch (including the product platform and other business components) - Demonstrate the value of CLPS Utility process models and Lifecycle Methodology/Practices to Clients - Supports development, Design and test to deliver to time, quality and cost for existing client commitments - Contribute where necessary to the production of Client proposals - Contribute where necessary to a successful implementation and efficient and effective use of Product Platforms at Clients' sites - Is an ambassador for CLPS, dealing with questions and queries professionally, accurately and in a timely manner Planning - Assist Project Managers to identify and scope a project or a change request's requirements, help estimate additional workloads and their effective integration into overall project plans - Support the planning of the Requirements and Scoping phase, including sizing, resource allocation, and phasing to allow the delivery of complete quality solution to cost and schedule - Key Player in scope containment process to ensure that scope is effectively managed and prioritised. Quality - Assist in providing and maintaining traceability of the scope of a release through design and test - Provide alternative quality business solutions to requirements that are unable to be met within a release. - Provide quality checkpoint for all change requests Essential Experience/Skills The Delivery of the Product Platform Functional Architecture, Product Platform Business Requirements and High Level System Designs, generally aligned with the product roadmap to time, cost and quality - Manage the requirements catalogue for a Client release ensuring traceability to the Functional Inventory and down through requirements, design and test. - Sign off of the Client requirements for a particular release ensuring all will be met either through build, configuration or business process. - Help defining acceptance criteria and high level estimates - Working to CLPS processes & CLPS best practices, - Providing clients with functional analysis and design advice guidance and consultancy in the CLPS utility model and business solution throughout the project - Working with the Client Team, Business Architect, Business Process Team, Actuarial Lead and Finance Lead to produce Solution Playback to key stakeholders in the business - Ensureing test scenarios give complete coverage of all required functionality - Working with the Business Consultant to manage scope issues - particularly managing deferral requests during the test phase - Reviewing Change Requests for suitability and quality before changes go through the change process including identifying areas for impact assessment Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation.
