Analyst Developer, C#, Oracle, SQL The Role The post holder will be designated a number of systems for which they will be an IT contact. They will ensure that the systems are fully supported and that any problems are dealt with quickly and effectively in order to minimise impact to current operations. The job holder will also use their analysis skills to suggest and implement solutions to technical development problems. The�post holder�will be part of the team responsible for providing 24*7 support for key systems on an on-call rota basis. Main Responsibilities Design small, large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Support existing applications, including error tracing and fixing. The�post holder�will be part of the team responsible for providing 24*7 support for key systems on an on-call rota basis. Plan, design and conduct tests of programs; correct errors and re-test to achieve an error-free result. Construct, interpret and execute test plans to verify correct operation of completed systems. Document all work in accordance with agreed standards, update or provide input to cost benefit analyses, risk analyses and development plans and take account of design decisions. Conduct reviews of supplied specifications, with others as necessary, and provide feedback to internal and external customers on technical issues as needed. Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues in any aspect of program design, creation, testing and documentation. Take part in evaluations and reviews of programming methods, tools and standards. Essential: �Applicants should have a good working knowledge in the following: C# or VB.NET (.Net 2.0 or later) IIS/DNS Windows Server (2003 or later) Oracle or SQL Server �In addition, applicants should have a good working knowledge in at least one of the following: C++ ASP.NET (.Net 2.0 or later) SQL HTML JavaScript SharePoint Desirable: Experience of working within a service delivery environment with a good understanding of the ITIL framework Experience of creating and working from UML-based design documentation. Experience of designing and writing unit tests for their source code. Macromedia Dreamweaver SubVersion Jenkins Person Attributes Working in an application development and support role. Good problem solving and analytical skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills and an excellent team player. Experience of delivering IT Services within an ITIL framework and internal market environment This role will involve working a�5 day week of 42 hours, flexible working hours could be arranged. Senior Analyst Developer, ISEB�C#, Asp.NET, SQL, Visual Studio The Role The post-holder will perform tasks from both software development and system support roles.� The development aspect of the role will involve the design, creation, testing and documenting of large and/or complex software programs, and performing program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. The role also involves participating in reviews of their own work and colleagues' work. The system support aspect involves the designation of several systems for which they will act as primary support, and several for which they will provide secondary support. They will ensure that the systems are fully supported and that any problems are dealt with quickly and effectively in order to minimise impact to live operations. The job holder will also use their analysis skills to suggest and implement resolutions to technical problems to ensure the ongoing provision of services. The�post holder�will be part of the team responsible for providing 24*7 support for key systems on an on-call rota basis. Key Resonsibilities The design, code, test, maintenance and documentation of software applications of various scales and complexities Support of IT applications Enhance existing applications Improve the reliability, robustness, and performance of the existing systems Reduce/Eliminate reliance on out of date/unsupported software Provide technical advice to internal and external customers Analyse customer requirements and problems, then generate potential solutions Document changes to the system and application architecture overviews Develop relationship with System Owner, Key Users and Users for their allocated systems.
