HTML/CSS Front-end developer – Norwich – £27 - £32K + bens
Key skills – HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, JavaScript, PHP, Drupal
Base up to £27,000 - £32,000 + 25 days holiday + 6% company contributory pension, 2 x life, health insurance.
As an established and preferred supplier for some 14 years to this stable, market leader in the publishing field we have been asked to assist in the selection of an experienced HTML/CSS developer. .
Key responsibilities
¦ Implement robust and high quality applications/transformations according to specification documents
¦ To create clear, easy, fast pages and interfaces that will make people understand and care about the information, by putting it in context, expose its legitimacy or lack thereof, and reveal their implicit or explicit interconnection.
¦ Ensure solutions delivered exceed customer expectations within budget and timeline constraints
¦ Ensure all implementations are thoroughly unit tested and implemented in accordance to the development process
¦ Assist in the production of detailed technical design documentation
¦ Ensure areas for componentization and reuse are highlighted
Key activities
¦ Assist in the production of detailed technical design documentation and estimates
¦ Implementing unit tests
¦ Develop code as per the specifications and coding standards
¦ Ensure all code passes unit testing with appropriate code coverage
¦ Assist in peer reviews of other team members code
¦ Provide feedback on process to refine where necessary
¦ Liaise with Technical Lead, Testers and any other project stakeholders both verbally and in writing
¦ 3rd line support where necessary

Application Support Engineer, Administrator, Project Support Analyst – Norfolk - £35-45k + benefits
Application Support Engineer working with an R&D organisation who specialising in surveying both land and sea. Ideally you will come from an Application Support background supporting either bespoke systems or off the shelf packages and possess a background in Hydrographic Surveying or similar subject. Additionally if you have a background as a Data Processor we would also like to hear from you.
The role will be a mixture of supporting existing applications, installing new systems and delivering training on the new platforms to the company which may require international travel however this will be minimal.
Key Skills Required:
• 5 years within a Hydrographic Surveying or oil exploration organisation or similar experience as a Data Processor
• Experience of supporting, installing or administering software applications
• Experience of writing technical documents
• Problem solving aptitude
• Willingness to travel
About the company:
The client operates in the UK, Netherlands, USA and Australia as a group of dynamic Research & Development entities brought together under one banner. They specialising in offshore surveying developing software and processing software including sub-sea positioning systems. Once development of the applications is completed they provide the introduction of the platform onsite and provide end-user training.
