C++ Software Engineer – Defence systems
A great opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineer to work for a leading Defence company in South Wales. This Software Engineer will be working on a number of new and upcoming projects in the areas of Vehicle Electronics control systems.
Although based in South Wales, this role is commutable from across the South West including Bristol, Cardiff and Gloucester.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities
* Design, implementation, test and integration of User Application software as part of an embedded bezel driven Graphical User Interface via UML 2.0 and C++ model centric development within Rhapsody.
* Addressing HMI issues through usage of VAPS XT ARINC661
* Leading of one or more sub-teams.
* Performing any other tasks related to software development as directed by Design Lead.
Requirements
* Strong background in Software Design, Code, Test and version control using current methodologies, processes and tools.
* Significant experience in developing software applications using C++.
* Experience of developing bezel button driven Graphical User Interface (GUI) software for embedded systems.
* Experience of the using an embedded GUI development tool.
* Experience of CASE tools that support UML model development.
* Strong communication skills including excellent English writing/speaking and presentation skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
