Our client is a well established dynamic Telecommunications company who operate in the business to business environment. There is now a requirement for a Service Desk Engineer to join the team. It is essential for this role that the successful candidate has a proven background supporting PBX / business phone systems either remotely or on client site.
JOB TITLE: SERVICE DESK ENGINEER
The role of Service Desk Engineer is mainly office based, however from time to time, dependent upon the needs of the business. There may be a requirement to attend and service clients PBX's on site, or conduct site surveys. The Service Desk Engineer will professionally respond to all customer support requests and manage customer communication with key clients directly. Where required, escalating support issues and or escalating to service partners/suppliers. Careful co-coordination of involved parties to ensure satisfactory resolution/ delivery of faults / maintenance requests according to company practises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
*Service/Maintain client PBX's when possible in house, via remote access *Assist the Customer Service team with PBX fault diagnostics *Undertake site surveys when necessary *Adhere to company Health & Safety procedures and ensure all relevant correspondence is obtained from partners/suppliers *Liaise with the Accounts Department to ensure all system/engineering projects are raised and revenue tracked accordingly *Day to day running of company system related enquires
Experience, Skills & Attributes
*Experience in installing and maintaining PBX systems, desirable: Avaya IP Office, NEC XN120, Panasonic, Samsung and any other business phone systems. *Experience of VoIP, Broadband & SIPs desirable *Excellent communication skills *Exceptional time management and organisational skills *Experience of fault management processes and procedures *Excellent knowledge of Telecoms
The Telemarketing Team Leader/Manager will manage a small internal sales team. Work alongside the Marketing Team to manage internal campaigns, lead generation and appointment making. Lead by example and make cold and warm calls to new prospects. Responsible for meeting personal targets. Responsible for ensuring team targets are met. Track workload and data management. Responsible for growing the internal sales team over time
Skills & Experience:
Experience in an internal sales role in the IT and/or Telecoms sector. Experience managing a team or the desire to move into a Team Leader/Manager position. Experience in business to business Telesales. Must have a strong track record of meeting targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
