Role:
We are currently seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable Technical Analyst to provide first level technical support to customers via the telephone and email to join their existing team.
Overview:
You will be responsible for resolving and logging a variety of server, desktop and networking issues in a first line support and helpdesk capacity and escalate issues as appropriate. You will be expected to provide support through various remote assistance technologies, and may also be required to attend customer sites for installation purposes and upgrades.
As a Software Support Technician / 1st Line Support Engineer, you must have superb communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a professional telephone manner. You must be able to work well in a team, be able to manage your own time effectively and be able to pick up and learn new technologies quickly.
Job Specification:
• Technical telephone, remote and email support
• Log calls in the helpdesk call logging system
• Diagnose and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
• Manage users and permissions within Active Directory
• Monitor remote backup systems
• Assist in any other general tasks that may arise
Role Requirements:
• Experience of supporting Windows XP / VISTA / Windows 7.
• Knowledge of Active Directory User Management.
• To be familiar with Microsoft Office and the ability to support users on all the common tools including Excel, Word and Outlook (Office 2003 to 2010).
Candidate Requirements:
• Excellent client interaction with confident spoken and written language.
• Logical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to prioritise tasks.
• Excellent time management (awareness of time constraints and deadlines).

Business Support Officer required for an international Defence Organisation based in Stevenage. You will be required to provide a professional, flexible and proactive support service to the business. You must be Security Clearable and fluent in French.
As Business Support Officer, you will be required to provide local expertise in the key IT based applications, and ensure documentation is maintained. - Accurate control and maintenance of electronic diaries and emails.
- Arrange travel and accommodation (including currency).
- Provide meeting co-ordination and participation including tracking actions, taking minutes and facilitating at times.
- Prepare relevant material and action planning to support the running of key meetings.
- Management and maintenance of email for key members of staff.
- Co-ordinate arrangements for on-site or off-site meetings and events, attend, facilitate and participate as required.
- Administer expense forms for identified managers.
- Occasional domestic and overseas travel with managers.
As Business Support Officer, you will have the following skills / knowledge:
- Fluent French Language Skills essential.
- Italian Language Skills desirable.
- Must be able to be Security Cleared.
- Formal qualifications ideally up to degree level or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent business experience.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of ORCA or Collage (or other database systems) an advantage.
- Experience of working in a support function across a range of support and administrative activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills using accurate spelling and grammar.
