ROLE:
The C# Developer / ASP.Net Developer will be engaged in scoping, developing and maintaining business supporting applications within, but not exclusive to, Microsoft SharePoint and .Net platforms in collaboration with the ADM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Assist in the design, content and security of the Company Intranet and Extranet offering.
b) Co-ordination, design and build of bespoke application and Intranet dynamic content.
c) Formulate, develop and implement Group wide SharePoint application for collaborative workspace, Intranet, Extranet and business forms provision.
d) Continuity of service of all bespoke Business applications.
e) Coordination and upkeep of code library.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related field.
b) Strong experience of ‘hands on’ SharePoint development.
c) WSS 3 / MOSS 2007/2010 Development and Administration experience.
d) C# and ASP.Net development experience.
e) Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Microsoft Visio 2010, Microsoft InfoPath 2010 experience.
f) Full lifecycle development.
g) WCF, WPF and BDC experience.
h) SharePoint Master Pages, Page Layouts and Custom Web Part experience.
i) SQL, CAML, SSRS development experience.
j) XML, SOAP, Web Services.
k) HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX experience.
l) Support and integration for bespoke and third party Solutions.
m) Maintaining the health and effectiveness of the System.
n) Producing and maintaining documentation for projects.
o) Problem prevention/resolution.

We are searching for an experienced web based application developer to take on a senior role involving leadership.
You will be working as part of a small team and giving technical and team leadership in the development of the web based user interface through which end users configure the street lighting system and analyse and interpret measured data from the street lights in order to optimise performance and minimise energy usage.
The environment is a Linux operating system running an apache/PHP web server. The user interface connects to a Firebird database and runs standard SQL queries. There are external interfaces to a growing number of Asset Management Systems exchanging data through xml file transfer and SOAP interfaces.
You will be using the latest techniques to add major new functionality to the system including high performance mapping, mobile apps, new graphical control functions and so on.
We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:
Excellent academic background or equivalent
Experience of web based application development and technical leadership
Strong skills in PHP development
Experience of interfacing to databases and writing SQL queries
Some experience of team leadership
Specific technical experience of the following areas will be considered an advantage:
Experience of using the Ext JS library
Knowledge of a Linux environment
Experience of the Firebird database
Experience of web based mapping
Experience of mobile apps
Prepared to do what is required in a small start up company environment
