Lamp Developer U p to �40K depending on experience Our clients aredevelopers of business websites who specialise in designing, building and supporting interactive web sites that deliver dynamic and cost effective e-business for a wide range of clients.They are currently looking for a LAMP Developer to join their team. You will be an experienced programmer with excellent working knowledge of application development best practices and methodologies. You will be passionate about leaving behind accurately documented code (mainly POD) that will survive the test of time. You will show evidence of a willingness to develop in the same style of Perl as the existing team and build on the existing infrastructure of modules and other building blocks. You should be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Perl 5 and MySQL within Linux/Unix/Apache CGI environment. A good working knowledge of Template Toolkit, JQuery, JavaScript, HTML and CSS and the ability to combine these to generate robust solutions Essential: - Perl: +5 years and still current (Including Perl 5), especially CGI. (OO not important) - MySQL (+5 years) - Template toolkit - JQuery - JavaScript - Web development (+4 years and still current) - Linux or UNIX (+3 years and still current) - Understanding of web security best practices Very desirable, in no particular order: - CPAN - Internet protocols (e.g., SMTP, POP, FTP, SSH, HTTP, SOAP etc.) - Subversion - Data import / export / JSON - XML - Content Management Preference given to, in no particular order: - Apache web servers - TCP/IP - Problem Solver If this sounds like the role for you and you have the relevant skills/experience, we would love to hear from you.
