Although this company work across various industries,they are currently growing their Offshore output. Therefore, it is essential that all applicants have experience in designing Control Panels for the offshore industry and knowledge of associated standards. Applicants with Aero or Marine backgrounds may be considered but Control panel design experience in these industries is essential.

The position is an initial 3-6 month contract, with an extension possible. Ideal start dates are late May / early June.

The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, the main purpose of your role will be to process production orders from concept through to final assembly, and to provide technical assistance through all stages of manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

·Co-ordinate and process Customer orders.
·Identify Customer Requirements and produce technical documents.
·Create Bills of Materials in accordance with pre-defined schedules.
·Provide technical support to both customers and internal employees where required.
·Provide Technical Write-ups for quotations.
·Identify Assembly Problems and implement a corrective action plan.


The Successful Candidate

You should be able to show initiative, make decisions at the appropriate level and take responsibility for your own work. At the same time, you should be competent in understanding the impacts of solving a problem in a particular way, and be aware of the positive and negative impact of your actions.

To be successful in this role, you should:

·Be competent with 2D Autocad and 3D Solidworks.
·Be qualified to at least HNC level, preferably supported by a time- served apprenticeship.
·Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
·Preferably have an understanding of the Oil/ Gas/ Valves Industry.
·Have experience in a manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Solutions Consultant you will be joining our expanding Solutions team. The company is growing quickly, and the Solutions Consultant will play a crucial role in our ongoing success.

I have an urgent requirement for an interim Head of ICT Service delivery / ICT Service Delivery Manager. I would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible, initially for a six month period.

Effectively manage and monitor budgets and other resources in accordance with City Council policies and service priorities, and lead the development of the Business Plan for the division.

Lead the redesign and development of strategic and operational functions, developing detailed proposals and plans for service transformation, improved efficiency and customer service, reduced costs, transition, implementation and stabilisation of change.

Develop linkages and greater coordinated working with other council services and key stakeholders to ensure that the service contributes to the development and delivery of key priorities with regard to service development and strategic direction.

Your candidate must have the following Technical requirements-

Specifically we are looking for ITIL Implementation skills and ICT Operational Management skills

Track record of successful direct management in a large, complex ICT environment.

Extensive knowledge of local government operations and legislative environment and sound understanding of the challenges facing local authorities, including detailed knowledge of the transformational government agenda.

Bid Work/ Technical Solution Proposals; Meet with the customer and customer representatives to understand their requirements; Document and agree customer requirements from which a Solution proposal will be created; Identify the high level design for the Solution including the tasks, equipment and resource effort to deliver them; Understand the existing architectures and designs deployed within the estate and ensure these are factored in to the solution designs; Be able to create accurate build of materials of network equipment to fulfill the needs of the solution design; Be able to identify the scope of work and those dependant tasks that sit with and their suppliers; Understand the operational support and service model so that any solutions created can be easily deployed and supported; Be aware of Cisco latest standards to ensure new solutions include a future proof platform; Be able to work closely with the Account network Architect to check and validate proposals are in line with latest standards; Peer review other TSA solutions for consistency of approach and metrics; Apply network security principles to your solutions and check designs for compliance; Attend project hand over meeting to ensure network engineer and design resource understand the solution they are to deliver against; Assist the Sales team with resourcing pricing metrics and methodologies; Assist the sales operation to create proposal estimates for the customer to use for budgetary business justification. Network Design; Carry out design work assigned to you, using standard methodologies and established processes and standards; Create high-level and detailed design documents; Understand Standards and policies and reflect these in the network designs produced; Understand client Tooling and monitoring used on the account. Factor these in to the designs; Work with account architect throughout the design process to ensure compliance to latest policies and standards.
