Online Community Manager / Social Media Moderator
Liverpool FC is one of Europe's most successful and iconic football clubs having won 18 first-division league titles, 5 UEFA Champions League titles, 7 FA Cups and 3 UEFA Cups. The club has expanded its commercial team with a view to increase its international and domestic fanbase and presence.
Position: Online Community Manager
Location: Chapel Street, Liverpool, Merseyside
The Online Community Manager / Social Media Moderator role is responsible for leading the day to day management of Liverpool Football Club’s online communities. The current LFC communities include our forums, website comments and fan areas of the LFC website such as #theKOP. In addition, this role will work to enhance and grow the LFC social media channels currently in operation, along with new online initiatives as they are developed, as well as assisting the editorial team with the production of copy and content for the website when required.
a) Organise the volunteer team of moderators on the Club's official forums.
b) Lead on moderating website comments and other fan areas of Liverpoolfc.com
c) Help the Club to keep abreast of the latest trends and platforms on social media. Assist the editorial team with social media content, including some (not all) match days.
d) Report on social media campaigns for the editorial and commercial departments. Help produce and execute social media plans for editorial and commercial campaigns.
e) Produce social media based content for the official Liverpool Football Club website.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Significant experience of working in social media, preferably in a sporting, media or commercial setting.
b) A demonstrable experience and/or knowledge of working with forums or other online communities.
c) Detailed knowledge and understanding of Liverpool FC, its history, fans, values and official platforms.
d) The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines is essential.
e) Excellent writing and communication skills.
f) This role operates on a 5 out of 7 days basis and will involve unsociable hours and regular weekend days, and so the successful candidate must be flexible.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Educated to degree level.
b) Experience of producing written football-related content.
