Senior PCB Design Engineer - Mentor

Based in scenic Cambridge, the Senior PCB Design Engineer - Mentor - will be employed with a well reputed Electronics company who design and develop hand held & radio products.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Schematic entry and PCB design
- PCB design & layout
- PCB design release, fabrication and test requirements
- PCB approval for volume production (inspection and analysis)
- Working closely with mechanical design engineers to ensure compatibility
- Working closely with test development group and;
- Resolution of PCB design and manufacturing issues

To be applicable, you will have the following:
- Degree educated in Electrical / Electronics or related
- 4+ years in PCB design
- PCB design across full life cycle into production
- Strong knowledge of Mentor Expedition toolset
- Expertise in high speed analogue (or mixed signal / digital electronics)
- PCB design for EMI compliance
- Experience in designing PCBs to meet DFM/DFT/DFA requirements and;
- Strong communication skills

Job Purpose

To develop Client’s internal chip/firmware test infrastructures. The successful candidate will work in a multi-skilled team developing the hardware aspects of ‘Test Infrastructure’ projects. This includes board level design, Verilog design, Verilog test bench design and programming of other programmable devices. Projects range from simple test boards up to complex 19” test tower assembles.
