-Development of digital sections of Evaluation Platforms and Reference Designs for the clients cellular modem chipsets, through data sheet analysis, component selection, schematic capture, layout guideline definition, PCB level test and debug.
-Analysis of performance, current consumption, evaluation of the system components, such as memories, power supplies, audio, interface devices, USB, battery systems.
-Supporting other teams within the client who are implementing our cellular modem.

The Required Skills:

-A good degree from a leading University in an engineering or computer science related discipline.
-Demonstrable experience working in core development of digital hardware systems.
-Experience of developing complex SOC based products.
-Experience of low power DDR, NAND/NORE FLASH memory systems
-Experience of developing low power products, efficient power architectures and using DCDCs.
-Power consumption measurement and optimisation.
-Knowledge of USB interface design and test
-PCB Design Tools, schematic entry, PCB simulation ect.
-PCB design and layout rules for high speed design.
-Board level integration and test.
-Use of real-time embedded debug tools
-Use of oscilloscope, logic analyser and digital signal generator tools.
-Knowledge of mobile phone hardware an advantage.
