Senior Hardware Design - Apps, Mobile, High Speed

Based in Bristol the Hardware Applications Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of application support, including systems design, providing system integration and testing.

Specific responsibilities will include: Developing and delivering technical content, providing technical training, diagnosing problems with customer designs and identifying new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree, along with the following skills:
• A proven background in Hardware Design or a knowledge of Hardware for mobile phone or tablet hardware design
• Understanding of PCB Design and Layout rules for High Speed Design (High Speed Digital, Analogue, RF or Audio
• Knowledge of Wireless technology

Based in Bristol the Baseband Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of digital sections of evaluation platforms and reference designs form cellular modem chipsets.

Other responsibilities will include evaluation of Power Supplies, Audio Interface devices, USB and Battery systems, component selection, schematic capture, layout and test.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in Baseband Hardware Design, with a focus on developing low power products, efficient power architectures and using DC/DCs.
