ERP/Aberdeen/Permanent/ASAP ERP Analyst Job Purpose: To be the internal point of contact for company ERP system (MS AX) and be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the system to all parts of the business. Main Responsibilities: * To ensure software meets business requirements and fulfils user requirements by identifying and resolving system issues. * To manage, grow and improve the existing end-user experience of the system. Improve relationship and SLAs for all end users. * Oversee system enhancements/changes deployed in a professional and structured method, clearly identifying professional standards required of 3rd party providers. * Produce and coordinate input of status reports from the project team, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas. * Prototype new procedures for the purpose of enhancing business processes and operations. * Recommend any additional software requirements needed for successful deployments, configuration, or maintenance. * Liaise with company's software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies. * Use the internal helpdesk system to record, update and progress support calls through to completion. * Respond to help desk requests from super users across the globe, and support implementation teams in enforcing best practice guides. * Evaluate, configure, and deploy changes as approved by the Change Control process. * Ensure that any functional changes meet requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. * Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the system. * Prepare and deliver activity and progress reports for presentation to the management team. * Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the support team. * Provide direction for the system users in support of business operations. * Identify, create, test and distribute reports and outputs and other BI data to users as required. Qualifications The following qualifications are desirable but not essential: * Degree in information systems, business management or other relevant discipline * Experience in supporting Tier 1 ERP system (eg AX, SAP, Oracle) * Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices Experience/Competence/Skills/Knowledge Candidates will need to show evidence of the following: * at least one year's experience in a similar role * experience of ERP support and implementation * experience of the full software cycle * up-to-date knowledge of common IT applications and systems, in particular Microsoft offerings * knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous * good oral and written communication skills * planning and organisational skills * training and presentation skills * system issue trouble-shooting skills If you would like to know more about this role, please contact Ben Bargh via email or telephone.
