This company is looking for bright, enthusiastic, applied Physicist with both an aptitude and interest in commercial development to join our team. Candidates will have strong academic credentials and demonstrable drive and commitment. There are also opportunities to lead demanding development projects and build new business. You will need a 1st or 2.1 degree in Physics and a PhD from a leading institute. This group is a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. They develop leading edge technologies such as micro-fluidics, optics, micro-mechanical devices and products such as medical diagnostics, fuel cells, displays, sensors, for a range of markets from healthcare to consumer products.

The Physicists will need skills in one of the following areas:

* Broad experience in experimental physics, preferably including: sensors, actuators, optics/optoelectronics, fluidics.
* Strong working knowledge in imaging and geometric optics, optical design, simulation software and device fabrication and testing.
* Track record at commercialising complex optical or optoelectronic technology in an industrial setting and delivering multidisciplinary projects against challenging timelines and product requirements.
* Considerable industrial electronics skills in analogue and digital hardware design, development and analysis. Project management and commercial experience would be an advantage.

The Physicists will be contributing to technically demanding development projects in a fast moving, world class business, with the opportunity to make a visible contribution to the success and growth of the business. Project management and commercial experience would be of particular interest, especially at more senior levels where there will be an opportunity to lead technically demanding projects and pursue opportunities to develop new business through individual and team creativity, building relationships with national and international clients.
