Citrix Consultant

Enormously successful IT Consultancy seeks a permanent Citrix Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a CCEA or CCA (or be working towards one). You will have extensive knowledge and experience of design and delivery of Citrix Xenapp / Presentation Server solutions, and have strong Access Gateway deployment and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge and experience of Xenserver / XenDesktop and other Citrix technologies are desirable.

You will also be a Windows 2003 exponent and as such have knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy and deployment of Citrix solutions within this framework is essential but if you have the equivalent Windows 2008 knowledge too, then our client would be very interested.

Essential:

* Helping customer define their technical requirements
* Design solutions to meet customer requirements
* Design, implementation and documentation of solutions
* Proficient in designing and implementing Citrix XenApp solutions including XenApp 5 & 6, Web Interface and Licensing Services
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems including Active Directory and Group Policies
* Thorough understanding of networking and security when implementing above solutions

Highly Important:

* Working knowledge of current server and desktop virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V

Preferred:

* Understanding and appreciation of desktop virtualisation technologies including XenDesktop, Microsoft RDS and VMware View
* Experience of Citrix remote access solutions; Web Interface, Citrix Secure Gateway, Citrix Access Gateway (Standard & Enterprise)
* Experience of working in environments with non direct attached storage e.g. SAN, NAS, fibre channel, iSCSI, NetApp or NFS

As a Citrix Consultant you will be required to travel around East Anglia and to London, and occasionally further afield within the UK. A small amount of international travel is also required.
