Consultant, Optical Physics, Cambridge
Our client is seeking a highly skilled consultant with a background in optical physics and engineering to lead demanding development projects and build new business in product and technology development. The candidate will have first class technical and communication skills, experience at leading large multidisciplinary projects and an interest in and aptitude for developing business.
The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

* 1st or 2.1 degree and PhD in Physics or Engineering.
* Track record in project management in optics or similar field.
* Demonstrable drive and commitment.
* Sound knowledge of a broad range of optical physics and engineering.
* Business development or similar experience preferred.

The Role
* Contribute to technically demanding development projects in a technical and/or project management capacity.
* Take the lead in client communications and management.
* Take responsibility for best in class project delivery.
* Identify and pursue opportunities to develop new business through individual and team creativity and building relationships with international clients.
